If your organization generates Packing Instructions data in your system and wants to use Gold Client to copy this data, then the set of configuration changes below is relevant. Follow these instructions to align your configuration with what we have in our golden version.
Step 1: In your primary Source system (typically Production), go to ZGOLD > Configuration > Framework > Data Echo
Step 2: Create a new data type named CA - PACKING INSTRUCTIONS and input these header details:
Step 3: Open the new data type and select the 'Tables' maintenance view. Add the three table relations in the screen capture, and be sure to add the common fields as well.

Step 4: Select data type CA - PACKING INSTRUCTIONS and create a copy of it (use the 'Copy' function located on the toolbar). Call the new data type CA - SUBORD PACKING INSTRUCTIONS and assign to it the file ID of CA_SPI.
Step 5: Create a new data type named LINK - PACK INSTRUCTIONS TO TEXT and input these header details:

Step 7: Select data type LINK - PACK INSTRUCTIONS TO TEXT and create a copy of it (use the 'Copy' function located on the toolbar). Call the new data type LINK - PI TO SUBORDINATE PI and assign to it the file ID of LPI2PI.
Now that the four new data types have been created, it is necessary to link them together and to link in other data types as well.
Step 8: Open data type CA - PACKING INSTRUCTIONS and select the 'Linkages' maintenance view. Add the three linkages in the screen capture, and be sure to add the linkage details as well.
Note: Some of these linkage details requires the entry of an asterisk (*) in the 'Prv. Field' column which indicates that concatenation is being used. Double-click on this row to make visible the bottom sub-screen so that it is possible to input the concatenation details.

Save changes and exit the framework.

- Data Snap Rec Limit: 1000

Now that the four new data types have been created, it is necessary to link them together and to link in other data types as well.

Save changes and exit the framework.
