Amazon down, call Amazon customer service for help


change unboundedVarcharMaxSize Limit in postgres

Hi All,

We are getting the below error in one of our jobs while replicating from postgres to postgres. We tried to change the internal parameter but searching for "unboundedVarcharMaxSize" does not display any parameters in the dropdown. Understand that it will give the correct parameter only if it's exactly matching, but here it's not working. Kindly assist in this.


Source value of unbounded typed column 'x'.'x':'response_body' - having size of 21993 bytes - was trimmed to 8000 bytes as per internal parameter 'unboundedVarcharMaxSize' source endpoint setting..

We are getting below error while trying to connect MS SQL Server on Google Cloud as source and target is Google BigQuery and plan is to use CDC. We are running trail version at moment to see if this scenario works for us?

SO far, the SSIS Oracle Connector doesn't support or register properly into Visual 2019 new SSIS designer, as SSDT is split up into different parts. Is there any ETA for this support?

Replicate - Full load issue for single big or multiple small tables

Hello,

We are using “Attunity Replicate – Hourly” from AWS Marketplace. It is on an EC2 instance. Our loads from Oracle RDS (source) to Snowflake (target) are erroring out in two cases:

  • Unable to do FULL load for a table whose row count is 189+ M. The process terminates abnormally.
  • Unable to do FULL load for multiple tables in a Task. If we setup multiple tasks, one for each of the tables and run them together, those completes.


We have noticed no performance issue on the server, source and target databases which all resides in AWS.

Please advice how to troubleshoot these.

How to store the Reports as a file in folder for RepliWeb job on completion.

Under Notifications-> On Completion settings we do have option to attach it in email only.

Do we have any commands to achieve this, so that i can use this under Properties-> Execution -> Post-Replication commands or any alternatives for this?

How can I log into a brand new Replicate EC2?

I have a client who is interested in using Attunity. I went to the Amazon Marketplace and spun up an EC2 with Attunity Replicate, it's on the Free Trial now. It's up and running, but I don't see anywhere in the documentation what the default login/password is to connect via RDP - or any other type of connection. The AWS documentation tells me to open up the Attunity console on my machine, which was not ever installed. How can I access my EC2 instance?

How is CDC used by Replicate

Hi

I am looking for information on how CDC is used for Change capture by Replicate when it is reading from a MS Sql Server Source endpoint wih CDC enabled. The Replicate task reads from the Tlogs on the source and I can't see any information on how CDC is actually utilised as a part of that read? I am trying to gain an underatanding on this to better manage our install and investigate issues such as CDC latency on the soure and its imapct on the replication task.

Stored Procedure for Adding/removing tables from CDC for Oracle by Attunity

Is there a Stored Procedure or Function I can call to add/remove tables to a CDC for Oracle by Attunity Designer? I have 324 tables to add to 2, possibly 3, environments.

It would make life an awful lot easier if I could do this in a SQL script rather than select each table individually in the CDC Designer Add Tables dialog...!

missing insert statements

we are running Attunity 6.4.0.425 to replicate (and transform) 109 tables from Oracle 11G to Redshift. For the last 6 weeks every couple days we get log messages that say processing has gone into one-by-one mode and then later an error message about unable to update a certain record. when we look in Oracle we see the record but it doesn't exist in Redshift - we are wondering if it is just not getting written to S3 or if we have some race condition due to the 109 tables we are replicating being split into 5 separate tasks so the update is happening before the insert. We have tried to fill in the missing records but ultimately we have had to reload the entire table into Redshift when we get missing records. We have been unable to reproduce this issue in our test environment and when we turn on verbose logging for any period of time we can't catch the problem before performance degrades and/or we run out of disk space due to all the logging.

Unable to log into console after renamimg server

I deployed the Attunity Replicate Hourly AMI from AWS Marketplace. After renaming the system to a company standard name I can no longer log into the console with any accounts.
I did modify the ServiceConfiguration.xml with the new name and restarted the services. The web page comes up and I do get to the login screen but can never access it due to log stating access denied.
Its almost like the license is embedded to the default server name. I rename the system back to original name and it works fine.

After renaming the default AWS AMI Attunity Hourly instance name I can no longer access the console due to access denied. Renaming it back to original name gets me back in. Is there a process for renaming an instance?

How to handle calculated column and BLOB, CLOB field data

We trying to Move Data from Oracle to SQL server 2017



  • Destination has got a calculated column but not source. This is failing the load for the table. Except exclusion of such tables do we have any other option?



  • BLOB, CLOB field data is getting truncated to 8192 and 8190 size respectively in SQL Varbinary (max)/Varchar(max). How do we handle this?

Oracle to Oracle one tasks with 66 tables full load: Error "Position does not exist"

Hello,

I am a newbie, working on a task to perform full load on a bunch of Oracle tables. Both source and target databases are Oracle.
After full load of last 10 tables, started resume processing, the tasks stopping immediately after the start and ending with below error.

Position does not exist [1002510] (at_audit_reader.c:784)
00005936: 2019-10-08T21:59:51 [TASK_MANAGER ]E: Stream component failed at subtask 0, component st_0_S_DCAT_LOGSTREAM [1002510] (subtask.c:1368)

Can you please provide some insights of what this error is about?


It was fine on first round of tables added and loaded successfully.

How to resume an interrupted O2O tasks for two days?

Hi,

Could someone advise what's the process to resume replication of a task that got interrupted for some reason and kept it on hold until two days?

What was attempted so far : 1. resume processing 2. Advanced Run Options - start processing changes from the day it ended.

This task is a two-steps redo log based run. One will read all the logs from source and store it in a file, second task will read logs from a file. This is Oracle-2-Oracle replication.

However, the task is throwing error as:

Stream component 'st_0_S' terminated
Stream component failed at subtask 0, component st_0_S
Error executing source loop
Endpoint is disconnected
Oracle CDC stopped

Can you please suggest how to resume the task or the best practice during the circumstances like this?

Error : Dynamic Coonection String wiht oracle destination

Hi,

I am unable to map the connection string dynamically to attunity oracle destination. The Connector keeps using the hard coded value. I have added connection string and password to the expression of connection manager. Verified that the dynamic configuration is looking good. I am using visual studio 2015 and microsoft connector for oracle by attunity 3.0
